I'M USING RETIN-A, CAN I STILL GET BODY WAXING DONE?

You will need to wait until 6 months after your last dose of Retin-A before having any sort of waxing done, anywhere on the body or the face.

SO WHAT EXACTLY IS A BRAZILIAN WAX?

All of it.  Front, back, and everything in between!

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY BODY OR BRAZILIAN WAXING SERVICE?

Your hair will need to be a quarter of an inch in length before your service.  Well exfoliated skin is a must!  And please, make sure you shower before coming in.  We'll have some wipes ready for you too, just in case.

HOW LONG DO YOU SUGGEST WAITING BETWEEN MY LAST SHAVE AND MY FIRST WAX?

Usually about two weeks is perfect!  It's better to be a little too long than a little too short.  Three weeks would probably be fine, but don't wait much longer than that!

IF MY HAIR IS TOO LONG TO BE WAXED, CAN YOU TRIM IT FOR ME?

Unfortunately it is not within our legal scope of practice to trim body hair for any reason.  If your hair is too long, or too short, we will need to reschedule your appointment.

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO EXFOLIATE MY SKIN BEFORE AND BETWEEN WAXING SERVICES?

We have some amazing exfoliation products by FUR that work great for this purpose!  Also, sugar scrubs and exfoliating mitts can do the trick just fine.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR AND BRING TO MY SERVICE?

Always wear clothes that are breathable and loose-fitting around the areas you're getting waxed.  If you're coming for a Brazilian wax, either bring a fresh pair of loose cotton panties to wear after your service, or plan to go commando.

CAN I STILL GET MY BRAZILIAN WAX IF I'M ON MY PERIOD?

During that time of the month, your skin is likely to be more sensitive to pain, but we can still wax you if you're comfortable.  Wearing a tampon, menstrual cup, etc is required for a full Brazilian wax during that time of the month, but if you're not able to use products like that, we can switch to a bikini wax, or reschedule your appointment for a better time.

WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU USE DURING YOUR SERVICES?

We use corn starch, Starpil Black hard wax, FUR Oil, and Muff Wipes for our body and Brazilian services.

I ALWAYS BREAK OUT AFTER WAXING, CAN YOU HELP?

Absolutely!  We have a treatment that can help.  Ask us about our High Frequency treatment.

HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT BETWEEN SERVICES?

You will want to wait approx 4 weeks between body waxing services, or until the hair has re-grown to one quarter of an inch in length.

WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER MY WAX?

Don't tan for 48 hours.  Make sure to keep the skin well exfoliated between appointments.  And if you're getting a Brazilian, try to avoid sex for 24 hours.

DO YOU OFFER MALE ANATOMY BRAZILIAN WAXING?

We do not currently offer male anatomy Brazilian waxing.  If you reach out to us by phone, we can refer you to a trusted Esthetician in the area who can provide this service.  At this time our waxing technicians do not have the specialized training to safely perform Brazilian waxes on this area of the body.  This is not in reference to gender or identity.  If you are a trans or gender-noncomforming person and are not sure if this applies to you, please get in touch with us for a phone consultation.  We are happy to speak with you one-on-one to help select the best services for you.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?  CAN I JUST WALK IN?

We're typically open every other Monday, every Tuesday and Thursday, and every third or fourth Saturday.  Weekday hours are usually 10-8, with Saturdays 10-5.  We are by appointment only, so we're not guaranteed to be open during those hours.  You are welcome to walk in, but we can't promise we'll be able to take you.  Booking an appointment is recommended.

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept cash and all major credit cards.  No checks, please.  We also have gift cards available, and are not opposed to bartering.

I NEED MY WAX DONE IN THE NEXT 5 MINUTES, BUT YOU'RE BOOKED SOLID!  WHAT DO I DO?!

Sometimes we get booked out weeks and months in advance.  It's always worth it to call and ask if we've had any last minute cancellations, but if we can't fit you in and you just can't wait, please call us for a reference.  We know who to trust in the industry, so if we can't do it ourselves, we'll make sure to connect you with someone amazing in the area.
